45 newly-hatched green sea turtles safely released to the sea on Phu Quy

BTO – As many as 45 newly-hatched green sea turtles have been found on Trieu Duong beach, Phu Quy island on August 17th morning. 

Previously, the locals and tourists had found an around 100-kg turtle coming to the ashore for laying eggs on June 26th. During the following 51 days, the Phu Quy district island’s Station for fisheries source protection has been protecting and caring for the eggs.

Those 45 baby turtles have been naturally hatched and brought to the ocean at Hon Tranh beach. The turtles found are rare and endangered fisheries in the world.

Such action has attracted the attention and interest of lots of people and visitors on the Island since this was a rare incident on Phu Quy Island.
