Vietnam wins seven gold medals at ASEAN Skills Competition

The Vietnamese team ranked in third position, with seven gold, seven silver, and six bronze medals, as well as 16 excellent skill certificates, at the 12th ASEAN Skills Competition 2018 in Thailand, according to the General Department of Vocational Training (GDVT).

The 12th ASEAN Skills Competition 2018 had the largest number of occupations ever held.

The competition consisted of 26 occupations grouped into six categories, industrial technology, web design and communications, fashion and creative industries, transportation and logistics, construction and buildings, and personal and social services.

The contest involved 331 contestants and more than 1,000 delegates from ten ASEAN countries and territories.

The Vietnamese delegation competed in 26 competitions with 52 contestants. As a result, the Vietnamese delegation excelled in 22 of the 24 official occupations.
