Vietnam wins four gold medals at International Chemistry Olympiad

The gold medallists are 12th grader Ly Hai Dang from the Tran Phu High School for Gifted Students in Hai Phong City; 11th grader Nguyen Hoang Duong from the High School for Gifted Students, Hanoi University of Science, Vietnam National University; 12th grader Pham Trung Quoc Anh from the Phan Boi Chau High School for Gifted Students in Nghe An Province; and 12th grader Dam Thi Minh Trang from the Le Hong Phong High School for Gifted Students in Nam Dinh Province.

All four members of the Vietnamese team that participated in the recent 52nd International Chemistry Olympiad won gold medals, the Ministry of Education and Training announced on July 30.

The 52nd International Chemistry Olympiad was held online in Turkey in the context of the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide.

The event attracted the participation of 60 countries and territories from around the world.
