Two giant firms eye for investments in offshore wind power farm in Binh Thuan

BTO – Vice chairman of Binh Thuan provincial People’s committee Luong Van Hai received representatives of  Macquarie Capital Investment Corporation and Bitexco Energy Company who wish to find investment in offshore wind power farm in the locality.

At the reception

The investor suggested to develop the Vietnam’s first large-scale offshore wind power farm in Binh Thuan, which has a total capacity of 03GW (divided into three-phrases). Each phrase has a total capital investment up to 3.5 billion USD, starting from 2025. The project is expected to offer about 1,000 direct jobs and 12,000 indirect jobs in each phrase.

Vice chairman Hai recorded and highly valued the suggestion offered by the two firms, saying that the provincial leaders always pave the way for capable renewable energy companies while investing in the province.
