The ceremony had the attendance of Secretary of the provgincial Party Committee Nguyen Manh Hung, deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Duong Van An, vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Luong Van Hai.
The 49-megawatt-solar power plant covers a total area of 54.2 hectares with a combined capital of over 1 trillion. The plant construction started in July, 2018 and successfully connected to national power grid in April, 2019. With 148,470 solar panels, TTC Ham Phu 2 solar power plant is expected to generate over 76 millions kWh per year, meeting power demand for more than 34,000 households, contributing to cutting about 21,398 tons of CO2 emission per year. The project not only provides an additional power supply for national power grid, but also creates jobs and income for the locals.
Earlier, TTC group successfully operated 5 other solar power plants in Thua Thien Hue, Gia Lai, Tay Ninh and Long An provinces.
At the ceremony, representative of Gia Lai Hydropower JSC presented VND 300 million to “Study encouragment fund” of Ham Thuan Bac district.
