This class attracted about 50 participants, including motorbike taxi drivers and owners of motorbike for hire in Hung Long, Duc Thang, Phu Trinh, Phu Thuy, Phu Hai wards of Phan Thiet city.
With the aim to improve the image and brand-name of Binh Thuan tourism, the training course provided some useful knowledge on sustainable tourism development such as: regulations on vehicles rental and motorbike-rental for foreign tourists. In addition, Professor Phan Buu Toan (from Saigon Tourism Training School) gave learners guidance on communication skills and cultural attitude to get in touch with tourists, as well as awareness of security protection and road safety so that travelers’ life and property are ensured, contributing to maintaining Phan Thiet-Binh Thuan as a safe and friendly destination in tourists’ eye.
In the afternoon of the same day, the similar class was also opened in Ham Tien ward to train community-based tourism workers in Ham Tien, Mui Ne wards and Thien Nghiep commune.
