Addressing the event, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Xuan Cuong appreciated the province’s orientation towards the development of agriculture sector. The Minister expected Thong Thuan JSC can pay much more attention to the use of modern technology to agriculture production in an effort to protect the environment.
According to Mr. Truong Huu Thong – Chairman of the Executive Board of Thong Thuan Milk JSC, the company specializes in manufacturing a varieties of fields including shrimp seeds, commercial shrimp farming, aquatic products for export; industrial salt and hi-tech refined salt; Tuynel brick production, grass growing, hi-tech cow and beef farming and dairy products, etc.
The project covers a total area of 850 hectares with the total investment of over VND 3,930 billion, including Song Binh industrial cluster (24 hectares), a milk processing plant, beef processing plant, refined water plant, and a packaging plant using advanced-technology. The investor has already hired Sweden’s Delaval Group to design breeding facilities, choose about 20,000 cows from the USA and transfer the technologies to the Vietnamese partners.
Once completed, the project will give a facelift to the province’s agriculture sector, contributing to the local socioeconomic development.
