The Mountain pagoda is located on Ta Cu mountain side, at the altitude of 475m above sea level, in Ham Thuan Nam, about 30km away from Phan Thiet city center to the South-East. This pagoda was builts in the late 19th and early 20th century. It was founded by Tran Huu Duc, a well-behaved and generous monk. At this pagoda , tourist not only enjoy the natural beauty, but also the unique architectural works. Notably, there is a giant Buddha statue lying on the side, 49m long, 7m high, built by engineer Trương Dinh Y in 1962. In addition, there are Buddha Trinity statues including the Buddha Amitabha, the Boddhisattva Avalokitesvara, Dai The Chi Boddhisattva, all of which are 7m high with honest faces that seem to be willing to save our lives and supports us.
Ta Cu mountain heritage site was classified as a national historic site by the Ministry of Culture and Information on September 11,1993.
Every year on holiday, Lunar New Year, especially the Memorial Day on October 5th (lunar year), there are so many pilgrims gathering at this pagoda. This mountain pagoda attracts many tourists when visiting a site.
