According to national power development plan VII (period 2011-2020), Binh Thuan’s master planning for socioeconomic development includes an LNG storage site located in Son My commune (Ham Tan district) in support of the operation of Son My Electrification center with a capacity of 4,000 megawatts.
In response to the group’s suggestion, the provincial People’s Committee confirmed that the province’s authorities always highly appreciate and welcome the group’s intention to take survey and seek investment opportunities in Binh Thuan. The provincial People’s Committee will report to the Prime Minister and functional ministries for consideration and making decision within each unit’s competence and the approved planning.
Local government emphasizes that T&T group should introduce a detailed strategy which shows the projects’ location, scale, mechanism and investment model in order to submit for the consultation from Ministry of Industry and Trade and EVN before taking work relating to investment procedures.
