Students from Lao Cai win bronze medals at international science and technology competition

Two projects by students of the No.1 High School in the northern mountainous city of Lao Cai won bronze medals at the 2021 International Science and Technology Competition held in Poland.

The information was released by the Lao Cai Provincial Department of Education and Training on June 25.

Shortlisted in the final round of the contest, the project entitled “Wearable devices to support temporary tremor reduction for Parkinson’s patients” by Tran Huy Long (class 11A1), Mai Viet Hoang (class 11A1) and Ta Minh Duc (class 11D2) and the project entitled “Relief robot using 10k rheostat” by Nguyen Hai Duong (class 11A1), Nguyen Tuan Minh (class 10A1) and Tran Gia Bao both secured bronze medals.

On the same day, Director of the provincial Department of Education and Training Duong Bich Nguyet sent a letter of commendation to the winning group of students and their two teachers, Pham Nguyet Que and Nguyen Tien Dung.

She also affirmed that with the students' achievement has contributed to creating new motivation and confidence for students in Lao Cai Province in their journey of scientific research and discovery.
