Therefore, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development proposed the provinces and cities to direct the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the district-level People's Committee to strengthen patrols and control critical areas for hunting, capturing, trading, and consuming wild and migratory birds. Acts such as illegal hunting, capturing, trapping, slaughtering, transporting, trading, processing, and storing wild and migratory birds must be timely detected, prevented, and strictly handled. Localities must organize the destruction of illegal business places for wild and migratory birds in the area; besides, promote propaganda and mobilize citizens to proactively denounce subjects violating the law on the management and protection of wild and migratory birds.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development also suggested localities implement and guide food service and pet food business establishments in the area to sign commitments not to purchase, sell, display, or advertise wild animals of no legal origin. Individuals and business establishments violating regulations will be severely handled. Particularly, veterinary agencies and related agencies should strengthen monitoring, timely detection, and handle diseases and epidemics originating from wild and migratory birds that are at risk of spreading and affecting human health, livestock, and poultry.
Previously, following the direction of the Prime Minister in Directive No. 04-TTG dated May 17, 2022, on several urgent tasks and solutions to conserve wild and migratory birds in Vietnam; over time, wild and migratory birds’ protection has been implemented by all levels, sectors, and localities with positive results. Thereby, the ecological environment and biodiversity are more and more protected.
