Province’s leader visits, gifts teachers in outlying areas on Vietnamese Teachers’ Day

BTO-Standing deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hoai Anh on November 19 led a delegation to visit officials and teaching staffs of Ham Can 1 and Ham Can 2 primary schools (Ham Thuan Nam district) on the occasion of the 38th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20).

He delegation included Mr. Phan Doan Thai-Director of the provincial department of Education and Training and  representative leaders of Ham Thuan Nam district. Currently,  Ham Can 1 primary school has totally 11 teachers and officers with 208 students while Ham Can 2 primary school has 15 teachers/ officers and 195 students of  grade 1-5, including one multiple- grade class. The majority of students in those schools are children of Rai ethnic minority. In school year 2020-2021, many new class rooms have been under construction in Ham Can 1 and Ham Can primary schools and they are expected to be put into use in the second term. However, teachers have been facing many difficulties because they must travel a long-distance from their houses to schools. In addition, the schools regularly suffers from shortages of teachers, resulting in difficulties in teaching .

In visiting places, Deputy Secretary Nguyen Hoai Anh expressed his deep sympathy with  teachers and students for their  hardship. He stressed that the provincial authorities always pay attention to the development of education sector, especially in ethnic minority areas. He urged teachers and students of Ham Can 1 and Ham Can 2 primary  schools to overcome difficulties and strive for better achievements. Mr. Nguyen Hoai Anh presented flowers, gifts along with the best wishes to teachers on Vietnamese Teachers’ Day November 20.
