The activities play a significance in the conservation and protection of this species as the newly-hatched turtles are still fragile and may be lost direction if they are not released into the sea. After discovering the young turtles, members of the Phu Quy district's aquatic resources protection station moved them to the Bai Nho area - about 1 km away from the place of discovery to bring them back to the sea safely.
