The 46th patient is a 30 year-old woman, residing in Khuong Trung ward in Hanoi’s Thanh Xuan district, who served as a stewardess on a flight from London to Hanoi on March 9.

On March 10, she got fever and cough. On day later, the patient came to the Aviation Medical Centre for health check-up and then was taken to the National Hospital of Tropical Disease No. 2 in Hanoi’s suburban Dong Anh district.

At the hospital, the patient has been quarantined and had a sample tested positive for the virus.

Later, her sample was also tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 by the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology on March 13.

The 47th patient is a 43-year-old woman who worked as home helper of the 17th patient on Truc Bach street in Hanoi’s Ba Dinh district.

Right after her hostess was confirmed to be infected with the virus on March 5, she was brought to the National Hospital of Tropical Disease No. 2 for quarantine and sample test.

Both patients are now in stable health conditions, said the Ministry of Health.

Among the confirmed patients in the country, 16 had been successfully treated and discharged from hospitals./.
