Binh Thuan holds book reading festival to mark Vietnam Book Day

BTO – A book reading festival, themed “Book-source of human knowledge”, will be held from April 20 - 24 to celebrate the third Vietnam Book Day at the province’s library. The festival is held to address readers and book-lovers to visit, read books freely and buy books at the stalls. Exhibits are excellent national and local publications of many authors; books, newspapers and magazines featuring revolutionary struggles, economic development, society, tourism, national defense and security in the province.

In addition, various activities to mark the third Vietnam Book Day – April 21 will be held at schools and libraries across the province. Particularly, movements and programs to donate and grant books to schools in outlying and difficult areas and students of ethnic minority and those in seas and islands.

The activities aim to promote habits and culture of book-reading among the community, heading towards a learning society.
