Tourism revenue recorded VND 7.595 trln in 2020’’s 10 months

 BTO - In October, 2020, Binh Thuan welcomed 323,100 turns of tourists (raising by 5.14% compared with that of September), including 2,200 turns of international visitors, up 5.14% against that of the previous month.

In a 10-month period, the province received an estimate of nearly 2.307 million tourists, a stumble of 55.58% compared with that of the same period last year, with about 166,700 turns of foreign travellers (falling by 73.58%). Tourism revenue in October realized VND 871 billion, bringing the total turnover of tourism sector in the first 10 months of 2020 to more than VND 7.595 trillion. However, tourism activities in Vietnam in general and in Binh Thuan in particular  in the past ten months have been affected by the impact Covid-19 pandemic, resulting in a reduction of nearly 40% in comparison with the corresponding period of 2019.

The disease has been controlled and tourism industry is preparing for a strong recovery in the coming time.
