Local VFF leader visits and greets Ramuwan festival to the Cham community

BTO – On the occasion of 2020 Ramuwan festival of the Cham Bani community, Ms. Bo Thi Xuan Linh – President of Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Binh Thuan province has visited and extended greetings to Cham dignitaries and followers in the two districts of Bac Binh and Tuy Phong.

At visited places, Ms.Linh tenderly offered best wishes to the elderly, priests and the Cham people, wishing that the whole community would celebrate a happy, safe and economic festival.

Ms.Linh informed of the current situation of Covid-19 outbreak in the country and around the world, stressing the importance of social distancing order under the PM’s Directive No.16 and the PPC’s Document No.1365 dated April 10th 2020, on the organization of Ramuwan festival of the Cham Bani community. 

Accordingly, it mentioned to halt organizing religious rituals and cleaning and decorating ancestor graves; stop holding fasting month and gathering a lot of people in accordance with the Decree No.16.

Leader of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front gifted warm presents to individuals and collectives at visited-sites. Reportedly, the 2020 Ramuwan festival of the Cham Bani is expected to take place from April 20th to May 25th, 2020.
