Stamp launched to mark Party’s 90th founding anniversary

A stamp celebrating the 90th founding anniversaryof the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3) made its first publicappearance in Hanoi on January 31.

The stamp, designed by painter To Minh Trang of the VietnamPost Corporation, features number 90 on the Party’s flag with the portrait oflate President Ho Chi Minh, the founder of the Party.

It also shows the image of a dove which implies peace andnational independence, along with some structures representing the country’sachievements in economy, industrialisation and modernisation under the Party’sleadership.

Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Pham AnhTuan said the stamp is hoped to help improve public awareness of the Party andaffirm the Party’s role, prestige, leadership capacity, combat strength andfaithfulness to the nation’s interests over the past nine decades.

The stamp measures 43mm by 32mm and has a face value of 4,000VND. It is available on the public postal network from January 31, 2020, toDecember 31, 2021.
