During the 19-day meeting, law makers will spend seven days on supreme supervision and discussing other major issues.
Phuc said revisions to the laws on land, investment and enterprises will be removed from the 7th plenary meeting’s agenda for further fine-tuning.
In the meantime, revisions to the laws on government organisation, local government, civil servants, state audit, insurance trading and intellectual property will be put to the table at the request of the government.
At its next meeting in May, the NA’s Standing Committee will discuss issues concerning socio-economic development, the state budget, the addressing of voters’ opinions and preparations for the parliamentary plenary session.
Speaking at the meeting, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan urged the government to review all the laws that need amending when Vietnam joins the CPTPP trade pact.
She also asked the NA bodies to work closely with the government in preparing the reports in a timely manner and to ensure their quality.
