To ensure that events of the APEC Economic Leaders' Week take place smoothly, and efficiently, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh, Chairman of the APEC 2017 National Committee, had examined the rehearsal of events within the week and directed organisation plans as well as backup schemes for the reception, press, logistics, security, medical care and food safety, Hang said.
The APEC Economic Leaders’ Week - the last and most important activity in the APEC Year 2017 - is scheduled to take place in central Da Nang city from November 6-11.
Established in 1989, the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Forum comprises 21 economies, including Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, China, Hong Kong (China), Indonesia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Peru, the Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, the US, and Vietnam.
