Deputy PM Hue met with Slovakian PM Robert Fico on September 21 during the former’s working visit to the European country.
Mr. Hue treasured the valuable assistance of Slovakian people for Viet Nam and regarded the traditional ties as a valuable asset and a foundation for the bilateral ties.
Viet Nam always respects cementing and deepening relations with traditional friend countries including Slovakia, said Deputy PM Hue, suggesting Slovakia, as a responsible member of the EU, beef up the relations between the EU and Viet Nam.
In reply, PM Robert Fico expressed his impression on the achievements which Vietnamese people have attained in national construction and development.
Mr. Robert Fico also voiced his support for better ties between the EU and Viet Nam including the early signing and ratification of the EVFTA.
The PM recommended the two countries strengthen people-to-people exchanges especially among the youth to uphold the traditional ties. The host leader also highly valued the positive contribution of the Vietnamese community in Slovakia and promised to create the best conditions for them to integrate into the society and preserve national identity.
The same day, Deputy PM Hue came to visit Bratislava Economic University and left Slovakia, successfully wrapping up the working visits to Slovakia, Switzerland, Belgium, and the EU./.
