BTO- A voluntary team with 2 doctors and 2 nurses from An Phuoc Hospital on November 21 started its journey to Phu Quy island district to help the island fight against Covid-19 pandemic.

Apart from medical workers, An Phuoc Hospital also sent some medicine and essential equipment in support of treating and caring for Covid-19 patients, such as: electric syringe pump, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), and continuous possitive airway pressure (CPAP).

Those medical employees, who used to voluntarily take part in pandemic battle efforts in Ho Chi Minh city and Binh Thuan’s Hospital for Traditional Medicine and Rehabilitation, are expected to join treatment and caring for Covid-19 patients at Phu Quy Military-Civil Medical Center, contributing to protecting the islanders’ health and life. Currently, Phu Quy  authorities are focusing on testing to isolate F0s from the community, admitting and treating infected people.

Phu Quy island experienced nearly 2 years  with no Covid-19 cases until the recent weeks, with rapidly increasing transmission. As of November 22, the island has reported over 170 Covid-19 patients.
