10th birth anniversary of General Vo Nguyen Giap (August 25, 1911-2021)

They expressed their gratitude to the general, who was a faithful revolutionary, an excellent disciple of President Ho Chi Minh, an outstanding military talent, a great man of culture, a remarkable contributor to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation, and an exemplary and prestigious leader of the Party, State, people, and army.
The city leaders vowed to unite with the entire Party Committee, government, army and people of Hanoi, striving to follow the revolutionary path chose by the Party, Uncle Ho and revolutionary veterans, and in the immediate future, together with the whole country to repel the COVID-19 pandemic, protect the health and safety of people’s lives, and soon return to a new normal.
Also on August 24, a delegation of the Police Party Central Committee and the Ministry of Public Security led by General To Lam, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security offered incense to late General Vo Nguyen Giap at his house in Ba Dinh District, Hanoi.
Commemorating the “People’s General”, Minister Lam wrote in the remembrance book to express his admiration and gratitude to General Giap’s great contributions to the cause of national independence and liberation as well as national revolutionary cause. The Vietnam People’s Public Security Force is committed to following the General’s example and revolutionary path, serving the nation and the people.
On the same day, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communication and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia paid tribute to late General Vo Nguyen Giap at his grave in Vung Chua, Quang Dong commune, the central province of Quang Binh, on the occasion of the 110th birthday of the late General.
On this occasion, the Head of the PCC’s Commission for Communication and Education and other delegates came to offer incense to commemorate heroes and fallen soldiers of Base Station A69, Company 9, Regiment 134 under the Communications High Command who sacrificed their lives while on duty at Len Ha cave, Thanh Hoa commune, Tuyen Hoa district, Quang Binh province.
General Vo Nguyen Giap, whose real name is Vo Giap (alias Van), was born in Loc Thuy commune of Le Thuy district, the central province of Quang Binh on August 25, 1911. He passed away in Hanoi on October 4, 2013.
