During the last few years, Binh Thuan tourism industry has built up its position as an attractive destination with its own brand-name and reputation on the tourist map of Vietnam and the world. In 2013, local tourism went through turbulent time due to the impact of global economic recession. On the other hand, the limited development of transportation infrastructures system has made Binh Thuan find hard to link with other tourist centers nationwide. Hence, Mr. Khoa shared that he had have great expectations of considerable development of local tourism in the New Year 2014. Firstly, the world’s economy would recover its growth rate, creating chance for more and more international visitors to travel. Secondly, the solutions on transport infrastructures are expected to be stepped up so that many more visitors from other provinces will be able to come to Binh Thuan easily. Specifically, the project HCM City-Long Thanh-Dau Giay Expressway has just opened to traffic on January 2nd, 2014. And we hope that the implementation of other projects such as: the National Highway 1A expansion, Dau Giay-Phan Thiet Expressway (which will connect the HCMC-Long Thanh-Dau Giay Expressway to the section of National Highway 1A in Binh Thuan province) will be boosted to contribute to the development of Binh Thuan tourism.
Besides, tourism enterprises in Binh Thuan should invest in developing original tourism products and promotion programs as incentive solutions to attract more and more visitors. Particularly, there should be specific products that can lure rich tourists to Binh Thuan. Tourism promotion in domestic and international markets should be intensified to introduce the image of Binh Thuan and promote its tourism products. Moreover, the authorities need to give priority to creating a safe environment conducive to the development of local tourism, offering reasonable policies to attract investment in tourism and improve competitiveness of local tourism against other tourist attractions.
