A majority of outdoor activities and peripheral rounds will take place in Mui Ne and Ham Tien. The coronation night will trigger at Muine Bay Resort with stage and 600 seat-stands on May 23rd. Earlier, the extra rounds will successively take place as follows: Miss Ao Dai round on May 15th night at Bamboo Village Resort; Miss Talent on May 17 at Sailing Bay Resort; Miss Bikini on May 19 at Pandanus Resort; Gala night on May 20th at Rang Dong Wine castle – Sea Links city.
The contest is designed annually in pursuing the goal of raising people’s awareness on environmental protection of the country’s seas, islands and tourism exploitation and promotion. Alternating with the main rounds, a number of extra rounds are meant for 35 contestants towards the titles, “Miss Blue Ocean Number 1” (picking up garbage on beach and planting trees at Hon Rom area); “Miss Blue Ocean Number 2” (visiting fishers and riding bike to disseminate environmental protection at Ham Tien; “Miss Blue Ocean N0.3” (propagating marine environmental protection at Cu Lao Cau isle). After that, all contestants will take time to do sightseeing and capture photos to advertise Binh Thuan’s tourism at Bau Trang (White Lake), Flying sand dunes, Fairy stream, Po Sah Inu tower, Ke Ga lighthouse and dragon fruit gardens.
This Miss Ocean Vietnam 2014 contest is co-held by Binh Thuan provincial People’s Committee and Vo Viet Chung One Member Limited company (Ho Chi Minh city) under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s authorization N0. 4519 dated December 26th 2013 for the duration from Jan 1st to May 23rd. The preliminary and semi-selection rounds will be held in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh city, but the final round will be organized in Phan Thiet city.
