In 2023, the province’s socio-economic situation has achieved many notable accomplishments, with a GRDP growth rate of 8.1%, ranking 14th out of 63 provinces and cities; the economic scale exceeding 100 trillion VND, ranking 30th out of 63 provinces and cities; state budget revenue exceeding 10 trillion VND. The growth has been consistent across the three pillars of industry, tourism, and agriculture, especially with a significant increase in the tourism sector. Particularly, this year the province successfully organized the Visit Vietnam Year “Binh Thuan – Green Tourism comes together”.

Other areas such as culture and education have been well-implemented, and efforts to care for the poor have been carried out with multiple resources. Infrastructure in the province has been invested in, and urban areas have been renovated.

The delegation has arrived for a visit, congratulating the Bishop of the Diocese of Phan Thiet and Bishop Joseph Do Manh Hung. On the occasion of Christmas 2023, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Duong Van An sent warm congratulations to the Bishop of the Diocese of Phan Thiet and Bishop Joseph Do Manh Hung, as well as the priests and the Catholic community in the province, wishing them a joyful, peaceful Christmas and the grace of God. Secretary Duong Van An hopes that Bishop Joseph Do Manh Hung and the priests will convey the province’s achievements to the Catholic community in order to create excitement, unity, and collective effort in building the homeland and developing the country.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Duong Van An presented gifts and fresh flowers to the Bishop of the Diocese of Phan Thiet and Bishop Joseph Do Manh Hung. Bishop Joseph Do Manh Hung expressed his excitement about the province’s achievements in 2023 and promised to continue working together with the entire Catholic community to faithfully implement the Party’s and State’s policies and laws, and to foster the spirit of unity and contribute to the construction and protection of the homeland and the country. The delegation took commemorative photos at the Phan Thiet Bishop’s Residence. In the afternoon of the same day, the working delegation also visited and congratulated Father Anton Ho Tan Kha - Pastor of Vinh Phu Parish, Hung Long Ward, Phan Thiet City.
