The project of Vinh Hao-Phan Thiet expressway section, which belongs to the Eastern North-South expressway project (period 2017-2020), runs through Bac Binh district with a total length of 42.4 km2. The project needs a total land area of 305.8 hectares, with 771 and 3 affected households and institutions respectively. Reports from people’s committee of Bac Binh district up to September 7, site clearance and compensation work has completed 96%.
Chairman Nguyen Ngoc Hai highly
appreciated the results of site clearance. He asked the authorities of Bac Binh
district to keep on efforts in mobilizing the remaining households and finish
compensation payment ahead of September 20, ensuring the full site to handover
to the project’s management board. People’s Committee of Bac Binh district
should work with functional agencies to deal with petitions and problems
relating to compensation; step up other components of the project, such as:
removing electricity and water supplies networks, technical infrastructures,
telecommunications networks…
The capital allocated for Phan Thiet-Vinh Hao expressway section is VND 496
billion (for the year 2019), the disbursement rates reached VND 376.78 billion
and VND 49.48 billion in 2019 and 2020. The resettlement area in Hai Ninh
commune, which is designed 14 eligible households to relocate, has been
basically completed and hand over to 9 households so far.
