According to Department of Transport, for the airport’s military terminal, consulting units have finished the pre-feasibility report and submitted to Prime Minister. Currently, relevant agencies are giving appraisal to this report before the Government taking it into consideration for investment descision. Airport Design & Construction Company (ADCC company) has implemented surveys, marked the boundary on the fields and preliminarily determined its road system.
The project’s civil terminal, which is designed as a BOT contract, is under the process to seek the appraisal and approval of department of Planning and Investment for its adjustment plan. Up to now, compensation and site clearance work of Phan Thiet Airport with a total area of 543 hectares have been basically finished.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Le Tuan Phong highly appreciated combined efforts of departments, agencies and localities in carrying out site clearance and preparation work for this project’s construction. Ito ensure the construction will start in the 3rd quarter of this year in line with registered deadline, the provincial People’s Committee leader asked Department of Transport to work with Minitry of Transport in order to finish the project’s appraisal files and department of Planning and Investment to complete the adjusted appraisal of pre-feasibility report then submite to the provincial People’s Committee.
People’s Committee of Phan Thiet City will take responsibility for dealing with obstacles of site clearance and compensation work relating to military families. In accordance with regulations. Mr. Phong directed the provincial Military Command to work with Ministry of National Defense to make a consensus plan about the locations of 10 works araising in the adjustment plan. He also asked Rang Dong Group-the project’s investor to be active in the implementation of all procedures and work in line with the State’s laws and closely work with concerning ministries, departments to boost the appraisal process and approval of feasibility report.
