Earth Hour 2018 is scheduled to take place between 8:30 and 9:00 PM on Saturday (March 24)with the message “Lights off to turn on the future”. Local residents are encouraged to switch off unnecessary electrical devices during that time to save energy and so that protect the environment.
On that occation, Binh Thuan also intensifies propagation and dissemination of power saving with the purpose of raising people’s awareness of taking actions to counteract climate change. Electricity sector will call on its customers (hotels, restaurants, resorts, businesses, dragon fruit growers…) to turn off 100% of lighting equipment, lighting systems to stimulate dragon fruit to bloomout of season during the event.
At least 50% of public lighting systems across the province will be turned off to respond to Earth Hour Campaign.
