Accordingly, mining industry posted the highest growth with 30.46% while electricity distribution reported stable growth of 9.17%. Manufacture and processing achieved an increase of 4.93%.
The accumulated value of industrial production in 2021’s first 5 months reached VND 13.996 trillion, raising by 7.74% in comparison with that of the same period of 2020. Of which, mining industry realized VND 286.9 billion (up 3.71%); manufacture and processing sector performed VND 6.770 trillion (up 5.19%); electricity production & distribution achieved VND 6.814.4 trillion (up 9.44%). However, water supply and activities related to waste water & waste treatment posted a decrease of 1.34%, with only VND 124.3 billion.
Industrial products with stable increases in the first 5 months of this year include sand, gravel (7.40%), exploited stone )37.37%), brick (5.35%), dried seafood (6.75%), fish sauce (29.38%), cashew nut (7.99%), ready-to-wear clothing (5.85%), electricity for production (9.82%), preliminarily processed rubber latex (2.1 times), wooden furniture (78.56%), animal feed (4.54%), foot wear products (32.82%). Some industrial products suffered from falling in production, such as: salt (23.3%), frozen seafood (5.67%), mineral water, not including fresh mineral water (7.92%), tap water for production (3.29%).
