GreenFeed Vietnam to develop safe pork products chain in Binh Thuan

Accordingly, GreenFeed Vietnam will develop a chain of pork production facilities which ensure safe from diseases such as: foot and mouth disease, classical swine fever, PRRS, ensuring sustainable breeding development, improving products’ value, providing safe pork products for domestic and international markets. The project of safe pork production chain is expected to be started in June, 2019 in the communes of Ham Duc and Hong Son (Ham Thuan Bac district).

At the meeting, chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Ngoc Hai emphasized that the development of safe pork production chain is considered as a breakthrough in restructuring livestock sector in Binh Thuan province, contributing to changing breeding practice of local residents. To ensure the project’s success, the most important thing is building a breeding area which is safe from epidemic diseases. Mr. Hai asked functional departments and units to set up a steering board which is under the direct control of department of Agriculture and Rural Development, in coordination with local authorities, to take responsibility for collecting the number of cattle and poultry in the locality, taking epidemic control, and mobilizing people living in the project’s area to ensure safety regulations of the investors and international regulations on clean and safe breeding.

Deputy Minister Phung Duc Tien said that the Ministry would create favorable conditions and give assistance to Binh Thuan province to implement the project.
