An Overview of the Conference

Under the theme of “Connecting potentialities – Sustainable development”, the 2019 Binh Thuan Investment promotion conference, held by Binh Thuan provincial People’s Committee, was fully graced by the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh, Secretary of Binh Thuan Party Committee Nguyen Manh Hung, Chairman of Binh Thuan provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Ngoc Hai, representatives of Central Agencies, cities and provinces nationwide, businesses and investors. .

Addressing the conference, Chairman Nguyen Ngoc Hai presented the province’s economic results gained from the similar conference held in 2017, specifying its average growth of local GDRP per capita of USD 2,251 in 2018. Following the sucess of the 2017 conference, the province has converged almost all of standards for investment attraction. At this conference, Binh Thuan introduced investment potentials in terms of tourism, high-grade entertainment, commercial and residential areas; renewable energy industry; hi-tech agriculture.

On the occasion, under the witness of Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh, along with leaders of Central Agencies and Ministers, the province’s leaders awarded investment certificates to 11 projects, with over VND 23,152 billion, and signed 14 Memorandum of Understandings (MOUs), worth USD 19 billion and VND 30,696 billion in many aspects. At the same time, the businesses offered billions of dong in favor of social welfares in the locality.

Closing the ceremony, Chairman Hai confirmed that international and domestic businesses and investors have made great contributions to the province’s fruitful achievements. The province always unbinds the businesses’ difficulties, and pave the ways for investors, businesses so that Binh Thuan shall become a good land for international and regional investors.
