At the reception, Mr. Troels Jakobsen presented some key features of the mutual cooperation between Vietnam and Denmark in the field of energy, introducing some large-scale Danish Corporation operating in the off-shore wind power sector.
Reportedly, Vietnam ad Denmark has so far cooperated in many areas of energy since 2009 with the initial fields in energy saving. As of 2017, the two Governments have signed cooperation on renewable energy. Currently, Denmark and Vietnam’s Ministry of Trade and Industry are in the progress of drafting a development plan for the next five years.
As spoken, Mr. Troels Jakobsen expressed his pride of a cooperation agreement between the two countries in terms of renewable energy.
With regard to wind power, Denmark is famous for its several and large-scale energy corporations. The Kingdom of Denmark is assisting Vietnam Government in planning a sustainable development of off-shore wind power roadmap. At the same time, the Danish side also provides support in Energy’s legal framework for Vietnam.
With Danish experiences, Mr. Troel Jakbosen believed that Vietnam would develop its off-shore wind power efficiently at reasonable prices. He expects Binh Thuan will receieve many more investment projects in the area, forwarding the local socioeconomic development.
Addressing the meeting, Vice Chairman Luong Van Hai hailed the investment intention of the Denmark guests, saying that off-shore wind power is rather new for the locality. The locality has so far welcomed a number of such investment but they are in the stage of surveys and planning supplement.
The two sides promised to pave the ways for their long-term investment projects in terms of renewable energy in the locality.
