Colorful exhibition on Vietnamese marines, islands, and cultural heritages to be launched

BTO - At the end of August 2023, a colorful Vietnamese marine and cultural heritage exhibition will be launched in Binh Thuan.

This large-scale exhibition is one of the highlights in the series of events of the 2023 Vietnam Visit Year "Binh Thuan - Green Tourism Comes Together" which honors the unique cultural values of Vietnam's sea and islands, affirms the potential of marine tourism, and creates a driving force for the economic, cultural, and social development of coastal cities and provinces.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, there will be two activities launching continuously in Binh Thuan.

"The Colorful Exhibition on Vietnam's Sea and Islands cultural heritages" will take place from August 27th - September 3rd, 2023, at the Provincial Cultural Center, and the Theme Exhibition "Binh Thuan Cultural Heritage Connecting Regions" will be launched from August 31st - September 6th, 2023, at the Po Sah Inu tower relic (Phu Hai ward, Phan Thiet city).

In particular, "The Colorful Exhibition on Vietnam's Sea and Islands cultural heritages" has activities such as the exhibition with the theme "Vietnamese Marine and island cultural heritage", "Sea, island - the Heart of Vietnam" cultural and artistic exchanges, folk games and dances, and tourism product fair. Besides, there is the participation of 23 provinces and cities in Vietnam, chaired by the Vietnam Culture and Art Exhibition Center, in collaboration with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism province and relevant units organized.

More than 40 images and 37 artifacts related to traditional craft, and antiquities to salvage shipwrecks in Binh Thuan waters will be introduced under 4 themes: Landscapes, Relics, and Binh Thuan Fishermen Festivals; Marine Economy; Historical Decrees and Documents related to the sovereignty of the sea and islands of Vietnam, provided by the Le family in Binh Thanh and Tuy Phong; Shipwreck artifacts on the sea of Binh Thuan.

At the exhibition "Binh Thuan Cultural Heritage Connecting Regions" at Po Sah Inu Tower relic site, there are 6 provincial and municipal museums representing the regions that will co-organize with private collector Nguyen Ngoc An.

Binh Thuan will introduce to researchers, visitors, and people 3 main topics about Sa Huynh archaeological culture and Da Kai archaeological site in Binh Thuan including 30 artifacts and 20 photos and artifacts. In Binh Thuan, there are 69 artifacts, 40 photos of traditional industries, relics, and festivals... about O Cham, K'ho, and Raglay culture. 3 artifacts, fish sauce and dragon fruit products, 20 photos of landscapes, relics, festivals, life and labor scenes are slated to show on the theme of relics, landscapes, festivals, and traditional crafts of Kinh people.

In addition, there also has an introduction and advertising stall for Binh Thuan's typical products; performing brocade weaving, traditional pottery, and Cham folk songs and dances on the opening day.

This exhibition is inter-regional within the framework of Binh Thuan Culture and Tourism golden week, which is expected to bring to citizens and tourists authentic and interesting experiences in culture and cuisine; thereby, creating a regular and long-term connection between the provincial museums, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development and touring of Binh Thuan in particular, and the localities, in general.
