Binh Thuan Tourism revenue gained nearly VND 290 billion on peak days of Tet

 BTO- During the Tet’s festive days (from January 28th to February 5th, 2014 or from lunar December 28th -the Year of the Snake to lunar January 6th- the Year of the Horse), Binh Thuan received a total of up to 145,000 turns of visitors, including 28,200 foreign arrivals (making up 41%).

Statistics of Tourism sector show that almost tourist accommodations in the locality were full of tourists from the 2nd day of the first lunar month. Particularly, a number of well-known resorts reached a maximum booking rate until the 6th day of Tet. On average, the room capacity of hotels and resorts in Binh Thuan gained 85%-88% during the Lunar New Year festival 2014. It is known that the number of tourists coming to Binh Thuan on Tet festival remained high as the previous years. Noticeably, during Tet holiday, the province saw an increase of 15% in terms of foreign visitors thanks to a large group arrived in Binh Thuan instead of Thailand. The local tourism has actively made good preparation for welcoming visitors during Tet festive season, so they attained a turnover of nearly VND 290 billion.
