BTO – Under the direction of the province’s leaders, the provincial Traffic Safety Board has had the consultant unit set up a project to build “Traffic Monitoring system to detect and handle violations of traffic order and safety via image in Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan province”. The system is expected to be installed in 12 positions inside the city with an estimated cost of VND 16 billion. Upon completion of the installation, the system has the ability to monitor and detect traffic violations easily and automatically, contributing to ensuring road safety and order. Moreover, the system also helps to recognize vehicles with “black” license plate (stolen vehicles, vehicles with fake license plate…) and all kinds of vehicles travelling on those positions.
When defining infringement, the system will automatically alert the on-duty supervisor to conducting all procedures, including: storing the image of violations, comparing with stored database. After that, the system will automatic export the minutes of violation attached to photos as evidence. The software to sanction the infringement and other software must be copyrighted, guaranteed the ability to re-install and in high security to prevent hackers and destruction of computer virus.
