Binh Thuan to have more 27 projects for socioeconomic development

BTO- Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Ngoc Hai on an online meeting held on May 11 gave an approval to Department of Natural Resources & Environment for its’s report on the supplementary projects in 2018.

 The projects  are expected to be implemented following the land use change from land for short-term crops. Of which, 3 projects with a total area of 11 hectares include Lac Tanh super market (Tanh Linh district), Thuan Nam residential area associated with trade-service center (Ham Thuan Nam district). Other 24 projects, which cover a combined land area of 1,165 hectares, will be invested to boost socioeconomic development in districts of Tuy Phong, Bac Binh, Ham Thuan Nam, Ham Tan, Tanh Linh, Duc Linh, La Gi town and Phan Thiet city. 18 out of 24 aforesaid projects will be implemented by extra-budgetary resources.

Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee requested functional bodies, authorities of localities and investors of projects using large land areas, such as: West Tan Thien new urban area in La Gi town (48.4 ha) invested by Binh Thuan Investment & Development  Limited Company and a number of solar power development, to  carry out all procedures relating to land use in accordance with the law.

The provincial People’s Committee will submit mentioned 27 projects to the provincial People’s Council for consideration at the Council’s meeting on July.
