In four-year period, the locality has attracted 348 investment projects with a combined registered capital of VND 116 trillion, including 18 foreign direct Investment (FDI) projects (total capital of USD 85 million). Currently, Binh Thuan has 107 valid foreign invested projects with a total registered capital of USD 3.243 billion. Most of these projects concentrate in tourism-services and industry-construction. At the same time, local government has also accepted 21 programs/projects with a total fund of USD 4.581.859 million financed by NGOs. In October, 2018, 14 NGO-funded projects/programs are under implementation in Binh Thuan province.
In 2015-2018 period, Binh Thuan has received 5 projects using Official Development Assistance (ODA) capital (VND 735,922 million). Up to now, there are 10 ODA projects operating in Binh Thuan, focusing on many sectors: socioeconomic infrastructure, agriculture and rural development, irrigation, education, environmental protection, climate change responses and green growth strategy.
It is said that FDI and ODA projects have remarkably contributed to socioeconomic development of Binh Thuan province.
