According to the document, Binh Thuan province is seeking assistance from central agencies in boosting consumption of dragon fruit in domestic and international markets in the current pandemic. The total output of dragon fruit grown in Binh Thuan is estimated to reach nearly 700,000 tons in 2021, with 49,600 tons in June and 30,400 tons in July. With the proportion of domestic consumption and export is 20% and 80%, functional agencies in Binh Thuan seek for support from Vietrade and partners of e-commerc platform to put dragon fruit of Binh Thuan on their platforms in order to help businesses promote and boost consumption for their products. With regard to exports of dragon fruit, the authorities of Binh Thuan province are preparing plans for the organization of an online-business connection conference for enterprises of Binh Thuan and India (scheduled for Jyly or August), with a series of programs, including a general online-meeting to introduce Binh Thuan’s dragon fruit and an online trade connection between businesses from Binh Thuan with Indian partners.
Moreover, Binh Thuan has called promotion events domestically and internationally to further develop distribution channels towards expanding consumption markets and promote trade connection via online transaction platforms.
