Binh Thuan to boost linkages for clean and safe agricultural products  production-consumption

BTO- A series of safe food products of 50 production facilities in Binh Thuan province were displayed at the conference themed “Connecting supply-consumption networks for safe agro-forestry-fishery products” recently held by the Agro-Forestry-Fisheries Quality Assurance Department.

Over the past time, the unit has promoted activities  to support enterprises, facilities specializing in producing, processing agro-forestry-fisheries products in building safe production-consumption chains. Up to now, there have been 13 chains (including 9 production-consumption chains of fish sauce products, 4 chains for frozen and dried seafood products. It has partnered with Ho Chi Minh City’s Food Safety Management Board to connect 2 production chains of fish sauce and 1 frozen seafood chain with consumption channels in Ho Chi Minh City. In addition, the unit has helped the connection of 11 seafood export chains which have brought certain effectiveness. Currently, seafood products “made in Binh Thuan” have penetrated most of retailing systems across Vietnam.

At the conference, many contracts were signed between suppliers and distributors/consumers were signed.
