Binh Thuan supports trademark registration for 6 local fruit specialties

BTO – The Department of Science and Technology of Binh Thuan has offered support for trademark registration to 6 fruit specialties of Binh Thuan province. Accordingly, the trademark registrations are submitted to the National Office of Intellectual Property. The six beneficiaries include Tan Phuc – Ham Tan mandarin (Tan Phuc Farmers’ Association); Thang Hai Longan (Thang Hai farmers’ Association); Hoa Le dragon fruit cooperative; Thuan Tien dragon fruit cooperative; Ham Minh 30 dragon fruit production and services.

The National Office of Intellectual Property has selected “Binh Thuan dragon fruit” as one of the Vietnam’s three top fruits, along with Luc Ngan litchi, Bac Giang and Ban Ma Thuot coffee, to stamp Geographical indications when exporting to Japan.

Earlier, the fish sauce of Ca Den Limited Company and Dong Nam food enterprise were granted certificates of geographical indications.
