Binh Thuan: Seafood catches hit 22,245 tons in July

BTO – According to the department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the volume of seafood exploitation in July 2016 reached an approximate of 22,245 tons, seven-month accumulation of 105,978 tons, making up 53.5 percent of the year plan of 198,200 tons. Thanks to favorable weather, the local fishing activity has triggered normally but at low efficiency due to less fishes.

Currently, the local authorities are boosting work in protection of seafood resources. 88 cases of fishing violation have been found and handled with. All fishing actions using electrical impulses, explosives, toxics, trawling and diving in prohibited time are strictly prevented and controlled by the functional bodies.
