Binh Thuan’s student won Harvard University Fulbright scholarship

BTO – Le My Hien, 12 grader of Tran Hung Dao gifted high school in Binh Thuan province, has recently earned a 4-year Fulbright scholarship granted by Harvard University (the US). Besides Harvard University, Duke University, Amherst University and other Universities in Europe have also welcomed Hien to study there.

Hien has been a wholly-outstanding student of Tran Hung Dao gifted high school for 4 consecutive years. She is good at every subjects, especially English Subject as she earn the nearly highest mark (1560 out of 1600) in Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).

When I receive the letter announcing the admission and financial aid from Harvard University, I moved to tears in happiness. The result has reflected my targets and utmost efforts for during a very long studying path”, modestly shared Hien.

The admission letter was sent on March 27th by the Admission Committee of Harvard University. She refused to disclose the value of the scholarship during the next 4 years of study in Harvard University.

Le My Hien was born into a poor family in Phu Long town, Ham Thuan Bac district, Binh Thuan province. She lives with her mother in an outlying area under difficult circumstance. Thanks to her intelligence and studiousness, Hien has successfully won the honorable scholarship that most of Vietnamese students have ever longed for.

Harvard University is the oldest institution of higher education in the US and has about 2,500 faculty members.
