In particular, electricity production and distribution saw an impressive increase of 33.34% while water supply and garbage-waste water treatment reported a raise of 9.26%. Mining industry and processing-manufacturing industry enjoyed slight increases of 2.41% and 1.62%. Some key industrial products gained increases over the past year, including sand and gravel (5.24%), stone (3.85%), raw salt (7.92%), frozen seafood (6.7%), fried seafood (9.21%), fish sauce (0.92%), cashew nut (1.73%), mineral water (4.67%), ready-made clothes (9.02%), brick (1.50%), tap water for production (4.52%), electricity (38.01%), rubber latex (2.37%), footwear (42.47%). In the meantime, a number of products (wooden products and animal feed) suffered from decline from 2.05% to 3.37%).
Generally, industrial production of Binh Thuan province has achieved high growth rate in 2018. Especially, mining activities have seen a recovery after overcoming many difficulties.
