The fair attracted 1,200 booths of enterprises from Vietnam, China and other regional countries, including 229 booths of 77 Vietnamese businesses, bringing the fair advantageous products and local specialities. This is the best chance for enterprises to seek business partners, promote their trademarks and expand consumption of their products. Participating in this fair, Binh Thuan has introduced its specific products and fruits as well as food processed from dragon fruit such as: dried dragon fruit chips, dragon fruit wine, dragon fruit juice, etc. Binh Thuan trade sector also joined a conferrence on investment policies and partnership between Vietnan and China. At the event, deputy director of Binh Thuan Department of Industry and Trade Do Minh Kinh gave a general introduction about the province and its key product- dragon fruit, one of the most popular fruits in Vietnam.
With the total growing area of more than 26,000 hectas and an annual output of over 500 million tons, Binh Thuan is now the largest dragon fruit trading center in Vietnam, providing fruit for domestic consumption and export. Binh Thuan dragon fruit has entered more than 36 countries and territories worldwide, in which, China is the biggest importer.
The authorities of Binh Thuan province have intensified promotion and cooperation activities to extend consumption markets with the purpose of bringing dragon fruit to the Southwestern provinces in China, ASEAN and other regions in Asia.
