Specifically, the Provincial People's Committee has recognized 30 products and 26 products meeting the OCOP’s 3-star and 4-star standards, respectively. The star-rated product will be granted a recognition certificate by the Provincial People's Committee. Additionally, it will be allowed to use the “OCOP Binh Thuan” Certification Stamp according to its star-rating on the package in accordance with regulations. OCOP product rating results are valid for 3 years from the Decision date.
The Provincial People's Committee assigns the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DoARD) to announce the rating results and foster certificates awarding OCOP-recognized products at the provincial level in 2020. At the same time, they guide the People's Committees of districts, towns, cities, and production entities to use and print “Binh Thuan OCOP” Stamps on certified products in accordance with regulations. In parallel with those, the DoARD is suggested to coordinate with other departments, branches, People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to conduct annual product inspection, and then proposes punishments to those violate the regulations on management and use of the certification stamp "Binh Thuan OCOP" and other relevant law provisions.
Reportedly, the 2020 Binh Thuan OCOP’s 4-star rated products a number of products, which have been recently recognized, include fish sauce 40oN of Seagull Co., Ltd.; Traditional fish sauce of the Black Fish Co., Ltd; Thai dried apricot fish, Dam Sen garlic scallop; salted cashew nuts from Hoang Gia Tien business households; dried dragon fruit of Be Dung Import Export Trading Service Co., Ltd.
The Binh Thuan OCOP Program Project was approved by the Provincial People's Committee on June 17, 2019. This is a program that contributes to the economic development of the rural area in the direction of developing internal resources and increasing the value of products, improving people's living standards and income increase.
