Typical individuals, units honored for good achievements in
implemeting VietGap dragon fruit production
Most of dragon fruit growers are aware of the goal and importance of the VietGAP dragon fruit production. They have actively carried out and disseminated the programme in their localities.
Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Pham Van Nam lately asked functional bodies and localities to determine safe dragon fruit production as an important political task of local authorities in 2018. He directed all cadres to take the lead on development of VietGap dragon fruit production. The province’s leader has asked Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to take responsibility for cooperating with revelant bodies and localities in seting up plans to update or get new VietGAP certificates for the year 2018. Functional departments are urged to intensify propagation on safe dragon fruit farming process and VietGAP dragon fruit purchase. He also directed to boost the application of advanced technologies to dragon fruit planting, ensuring food hygine and safety for exported dragon fruit. Binh Thuan Dragon fuit Assocition should promote its role to connect farmers in order to form safe dragon fruit farming areas.
