Chairman Nguyen Ngoc Hai welcomed the Ambassador Tran Viet Thai, saying that: over the recent years, the province has put every effort to expand foreign relations, improved investment environment, facilitated foreign investment to lure capital flow from overseas countries.
In June 2020 alone, 3 FDI projects from Thailand and South Korea have been approved to invest in the locality. Of the sum, the province has 114 FDI valid projects with a total registered capital of USD 3,328 million, focusing on the fields of tourism – services- industry – construction. Currently, Binh Thuan has 2 FDI projects from Malaysia with a total registered capital of USD 3.6 million in livestock breeding and feed processing.
Addressing the meeting, Ambassador Tran Viet Thai thanked warm welcome of local leaders, sharing that Binh Thuan is an impressive destination with beautiful landscapes, friendly people with much potential for tourism development. The meeting has provided him with a lot of helpful information as he expects to insert it into the Malaysia’s foreign relation programs. One of his concerns is the decline of Binh Thuan’s labors in Malaysia in the present time. As a role of Ambassador, he promises to boost the supportive connection between its citizens in Malaysia if any.
Secretary Nguyen Manh Hung thanked the support of Ambassador Tran Viet Thai for his sentiment and care for Binh Thuan, expecting the Malaysia and Binh Thuan can extend cooperation for bilateral cooperation on every aspect.
