The American group of AES is among the global best 200 solar power corporations ranged by Fortune, distributing electric power and sustainable energy with appropriate prices in 17 countries through diversified categories of business investment, renewable power plant and thermal power plant.
The AES has 116 plants with a total capacity of 36,000 MW covering various technologies and fuel such as: coal, diesel, hydro, oil, wind, and bio.
Under surveys on natural condition and investment policies in Vietnam in general and in Binh Thuan in particular, the AES Corporation would like to invest a 100 MW-capacity solar power plant in Binh Thuan, starting with the 30MW-capacity one for the first phrase in Tan Duc, Ham Tan.
At the reception, Vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Hoa hailed the potentiality of the investment plan from the American firm. He confirmed that Binh Thuan authorities always pay attention to investment in renewable energy and clean energy, and therefore pave the best way for the investors to conduct the projects as soon as possible. The vice chairman also requested the Department of Industry and Trade and the department of Investment and Planning to corporate and give assistance to the US investor to locate the project and fulfill all investment procedures as stipulation.
