Addressing the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai said that since 1991, the annual event has become one of the most large-scale and important trade promotion activities in terms of national industry and trade, providing practical opportunities for Vietnamese businesses to develop in the domestic market as well as boost their exports.
With the theme ‘Step together into a digitized world’, the eventfeatures a total of 300 booths showcasing an array of products and services from a wide range of sectors, including machinery, construction and building materials, IT, food and beverages, and agricultural and healthcare products.
Under the framework of the event, a seminar on seizing upon future export opportunities for local consumer goods with Amazon takes place on April 14 and a seminar on E-commerce & important legal issues will be held on April 15.
In order to enhance efficiency for firms amid the adverse impacts of COVID-19, activities will be held both on-site and online via e-commerce platforms. An online version of the event will run until May 14 at www.online.vietnamexpo.com.vn.
The Vietnam Expo 2021 runs until April 17.
